Accounts, organizations and roles
Sign up and sign in, create your organization or accept an invitation, see what each role can do, and manage your account.
You sign in with an account of your own. Your projects, data, models and keys belong to an organization, and your role in each organization decides what you can change there. You only ever see the organizations you belong to.
Sign up
- Choose Get Started at the top of this page.
- Choose GitHub or Google, or enter your email address and a password.
- If you used an email address, enter the verification code we email you.
Already have an account? Choose Sign in on the sign-up page.
Create your organization
- After you sign up, the console shows Create your organization.
- Check the Organization name. It starts as your first name's team, such as "Sandipan's team"; change it to your company or team if you like. Choose Create organization.
- The console opens right away, and you are the organization's owner. It starts on the Free plan. Next, connect RunPod and storage.
Each person can create one organization. To work in another one, ask its owner to invite you.
Accept an invitation
An owner invites you by email address and role. You get a link by email, or from the owner directly. The link works once and expires after 7 days.
- Open the link. It shows the organization and the role you were invited as.
- Choose Sign in, or Create account if you're new. Use the email address the invitation was sent to.
- Choose Accept invitation. The organization opens straight away, with no approval step.
If you're signed in with a different address, choose Sign out and continue and sign in with the invited one.
Sign in and out
Sign in with GitHub, Google, your email and password, or a code sent to your email. Signing in from a new browser may ask for a code sent to your email.
To sign out, open Settings at the foot of the sidebar (your name, organization and role) and choose Sign out.
Reset a forgotten password
Choose Forgot password? on the sign-in page and follow the steps, or sign in with a code sent to your email instead. Organization owners cannot reset your password for you.
Your account
Open Settings at the foot of the sidebar and choose Profile under Account. It works even before you belong to an organization. There you can change:
- your name;
- your email addresses;
- your password;
- your connected GitHub and Google accounts;
- the devices where you're signed in. Sign out of any of them, for example after using a shared computer.
Under Appearance, choose the console's Theme: System, Light or Dark. The choice is kept in this browser.
Organizations
An organization holds projects, connections, published models, API keys, members and a plan. Until an owner connects storage in Connections, nobody in it can create a project.
Switch between organizations
When you belong to several organizations, the project switcher at the top of the sidebar lists them under Organizations. Choose one to open it. The Settings button at the foot of the sidebar shows which one you're in and your role there.
Rename or leave an organization
- Rename (owners): open Settings, then General under Organization, change the Organization name and choose Save name.
- Leave: open Settings, then Members, find yourself (marked You), choose Leave, then Leave organization. You lose access to its projects at once. The last owner can't leave until someone else is made an owner.
See Members and invitations for inviting people and changing roles.
