Members and invitations

Invite people to your organization, change their roles, remove members, and rename the organization.

Members are the people who can open your organization's projects. Owners invite new members by email, change roles and remove people. Everyone can see who else is in the organization, and anyone can leave.

Open Settings at the foot of the sidebar. The organization's settings are under Organization.

Before you start

  • The owner role to invite, change roles or remove members.
  • Room in your plan. Your plan may limit members, and a pending invitation counts as one. Free has one member, so invite others on Starter or Pro. Pro includes 10 seats, and you can contact us for more. See extra seats.

The organization's settings

Section Who sees it What it shows
General Everyone The organization's name and your role. Owners can rename it.
Members Everyone Each member's name, email, role and join date. Owners also see pending invitations and Invite member.
Plan and billing Everyone Your plan and this month's use. See Plans and billing.
Connections Everyone RunPod, storage, model endpoints and Hugging Face. See Connections.
Audit trail Owners Who changed what, and when. See The audit trail.

Invite a member

  1. In Settings, open Members and choose Invite member.
  2. Enter the person's Email.
  3. Choose a Role: Viewer, Member (the default) or Owner. See roles.
  4. Choose Send invitation.

The person gets an email with a link that works once and expires in 7 days. If the email can't be sent, the dialog shows Share this invitation link instead: choose Copy link and send it to them yourself. The link is shown only once.

Note

Until your organization has connected storage, invitations always come back as a link for you to share.

To send a fresh invitation, for example after one expired, invite the same email again. The old link stops working.

Pending invitations

Owners see Pending invitations below the members on Members, with when each expires. Choose Revoke to withdraw one; its link stops working at once.

How the person accepts is described in Accept an invitation.

Change a member's role

On Members, choose a new role in the member's Role list. It applies at once. You can change your own role too, as long as another owner remains.

When an owner steps down or is removed, the invitations they sent that are still pending are withdrawn.

Remove a member

  1. Choose Remove on the member's row.
  2. Choose Remove member to confirm.

They lose access to the organization's projects at once. What they made stays, because projects and data belong to the organization. Their account and other organizations are not affected. To bring them back, invite them again.

Leave an organization

  1. On Members, find your own row, marked You, and choose Leave.
  2. Choose Leave organization to confirm.

The console then opens another of your organizations, or shows No organization yet if you have none.

The last owner

Every organization keeps at least one owner. The last owner can't leave, be removed or change to another role. Make someone else an owner first.

Several organizations

One account can belong to several organizations, with a different role in each. To switch, use the project switcher at the top of the sidebar, or press ⌘K (Ctrl+K) and choose Switch to organization. Each organization has its own projects, connections, models, keys, plan and audit trail.

Rename the organization

  1. Open Settings, then General under Organization.
  2. Change the Organization name.
  3. Choose Save name.

The name is shown to every member, in invitations and in the switcher.
